1987 Volvo GLE Missing Bolt on Front Brake Caliper

1987 Volvo GLE 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles
I am trying to help my son-in-law fix up a 87 Volvo 740 GLE. While trying to repair the disk brakes we found a bolt was missing. This bolt apparently holds the bottom of the mount for the right front disk brake caliper. The location of the bolt is near the bottom of the caliper mount. With the bolt missing the caliper is free to pivot on a pin at the top of the assembly. The bolt has a socket type head. What I need to know is where I might find a replacement. Is there something special about this bolt such that I have to find an exact replacement or can a substitute be used as long as it is tempered steel?
