2001 Volvo C70 ignition switch antenna ring
Electrical problem
2001 Volvo C70 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 43000 miles
The dealership has replaced the antenna ring 3 times and it continues to fail after about a year. No solutions are forthcomming from Volvo.
engine will turn over but not fire, unless key is removed and reinserted. Sometimes it fires for a few seconds then engine shuts off. Remove key and try again is the only way to start car sometimes requiring several attempts

I believe there was an issue with the terminals on the connector for the antenna ring and the immobilizer control module . The repair that was done was to replace the terminals on those 2 connectors.
