My water pump was replaced at 71,000 miles. While in for an oil change, they saw some leakage around the pump and recommended replacement again. The mileage was 84,500. This does not seem normal. Does one need to replace the pump even with a small leak? or is it normal to have a little leakage around the water pump?
Could the first pump have been defective?
