1987 Volvo 850 Repair Question

1987 Volvo 850 Won't always start
Volvo 1997 850 T5
Sometimes when trying to start the starter just stops. When I release the key the starter seems to unload. Other times it starts just fine. Question - I have not ideas what might be the problem - starter motor or something else
