1990 Volvo 740 Transmission Fails to Kick Down at High Spee
Transmission problem
1990 Volvo 740 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 235000 miles
When accelerating, I can feel transmission kick down a low speeds (0-40 mph). RPM's at the speed are around 2000-2500. However, when accelerating above 50-55 mph, tach speed would normally increase to about 3000-3500 before shifting back down to 2500. About 3 weeks ago, began to stick at high rpm at these higher speeds. Any guesses as to problem? Thanks.
