1985 Volvo 240 Repair Question

Warm start-up problem
Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Volvo 240 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120,00 miles
Went away for a few weeks. Upon return car started up perfectly. Went somewhere and of course turned off car. when returned a short while later car wouldn't start. Had to wait and then started, but coughed a lot.
Same problem several times more, so had to leave overnight and come back to drive home. So it sits right now waiting to be fixed.
