Please help me locate the temperature sensor. I was told that the problem code was for the sensor and suggested I replace it. I bought one and now I need to know where to find the spot.

What size engine do you have? There are 4 different loactions. Most are on the driver's side forward in the area where the radiator hose connects.

The engine temp sensor is on the driver's side forward (rear) of the engine. If you have, or have access to, a fax #, I can send you a location picture if it will help.

My girlfriend has an automatic 2004 Jetta GL. Can someone please fax me the location of the temp sensor? Is it easy to replace on my own or should I take it to a mechanic? My fax is 323-930-3719. Thanks! Brian
