1989 Volkswagen Jetta Brakes are dragging, badly
Brakes problem
1989 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 238000 miles
I recently changed my brake shoes (rear) and pads and calipers (front) on my 89 Jetta.
I also changed the proportioning valve and the brake master cylinder.
As I drive more than a mile, my brakes heat up and become tighter and tighter.
I read that a common problem is the brake actuator being not properly adjusted.
Is this in the master cylinder or the pedal linkage from the car?
Can you think of any other possibilities for this problem?
Many Thanks,
Ralph
