RUNNING RICH ON PETROL,
SPLUTTERS, I HAVE TO REV IT TO CLEAR
SMELLS OF EXHAUST FUMES,
CHUFFS BLACK SMOKE OUT SOMETIMES.
I TOOK IT FOR A DIAGNOSTIC, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO READ IT, TO FIND THE FAULT. HELP

You need to find out what the fault codes are first.

Why couldn't they read it? Were they using a VAG specific scan tool? Sometimes aftermarket stereos will disrupt communication (K bus) and require removal before being able to scan.
