1986 Volkswagen Cabriolet 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 107000 miles

Is there any other type of VW exterior door handle that is the same as the one for the 1986 Cabriolet? Both door handles have failed. I found some that look the same on ebay but they are for different type cars. In a nut shell did VW make the same type of handles for more than one car? My specific are very hard to find.
