2001 Vauxhall Vectra car broken down

Hi there,

Check for a broken throttle cable, see if the throttle plate is moving when the pedal is pressed.

if the throttle cable is good !!

Have the vectra plugged into a diagnostic scanner and read and write down the fault codes ... then delete the codes to reset the PCM (cars computer) the car should rev correctly again now, but you will have to get the faults fixed that the computer is showing or this fault will re-occur ?
