2001 Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 ls fault code p1650

Computer problem
2001 Vauxhall Vectra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 92250 miles

1.8ls engine stars from cold runs fine until reaching normal temp,cuts out and won't restart till fully cold,p1650 fault code no, fault light. fuel pump and temp sensor changed at garage no change in symptoms.have had suggestions, crank sensor or ecu. don't want to waste money on ecu as will cost as much as car worth.

replace the crankshaft position sensor

thanks dave,
changed crankshaft sensor but no change in symptoms car still shuts down when normal running temp,could it be ecu?

I am very surprised this did not cure the fault !! this is a common fault on this vehicle .. It could be the ECU is shutting down if it is getting too hot ? .. next time the vehicle cuts out feel how hot the ECU is and let me know .. also is the car showing any other fault codes .. code P1650 is for power steering pressure switch fault, which would not make the car shutdown ?
