Engine Performance problem
1994 Vauxhall Tigra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 66826 miles
Hi, my car won't accelerate properly. When I accelerate to pull away, there is a short time, maybe a second or two, before it moves. It makes all the right noises, but goes nowhere very fast, then after the short lag, it pulls away quickly. It's almost like it is thinking about it first. There also seems to be a problem going up hills, as the power seems to fade, as if the car is getting tired. I have changed the ignition leads, not sure what to try now. I am not very mechanically minded, you see!! Please help!

sounds like the clutch may be slipping and needs replacing ... also replace the spark plugs and check/clean service the distributor/rotor arm !!
