CAM BELT
We have a vauxhall zafira 1.8 16v , 2003 , its just done over 40,000 miles & just been serviced .
The chap in the garage said if the car was made in 2002 then it will need a new cam belt , but if it was made in 2003 it will do another 20,000 miles.
Is this right ??
It was first registered in may 2003 , but cannot see anywhere when it was made.

belt change mileage is 60,000 .. change the belt now to be on the safe side .. but it should state on the log book YEAR of manufacture ..
