Engine Performance problem

it crank over but wont fire up but when it does fire up u leave it running for 10 mins then u turn it staight off then 10 mins later u turn back on then the engine warm up then starts first time on the key all day then after u finched use it u leave it till the morning when the engine is freezeing cold then u go out to try to start it but it wont go it only crank over but u hear the petrol pump clicking fast but it stil dont want to fire up
