2005 Vauxhall Corsa 4 cyl Manual 28230 miles

i have a 1.2sxi 55plate corsa it have been driving fine till yestarday when my engine management light appeared and my engine started to go very sluggish and produced misfiring sounds and rattling is in the garage today and just had a new coil fitted however the dia comp has said there is a problem with the 4th cylinder as its still banging and running badly any ideas?

First check the lead for #4 plug and the plug. Ask them to check and clean the CKP(crankshaft position sensor)and wires to it . Next to check is the injector and wires to it ! Let me know

Hi thanks for your reply it was a broken camshaft the thing is I have found over 200 people that has had the same problem with the same make, model ect and all say same as the mechanic that looked at mine manufacture fault now need to find out what to do about it just hope its not caused any major damage

I have been in the business 20 years and this is only the third time I have heard of this, will look a little deeper and see if there is any TSB's regarding this and let you know !
