This is an SL2 model. Turn the key and absolutely nothing happens. The dash lights stay on. The headlights do not dim. Tried to jump the car and the results are the same. The heater fan does stop when the key is turned to the start position. I jump the contact points on the solenoid and it activates.

Auto transmission. All of the fuses are ok. Will pick up a light tester if that will help.

Were going to need a test. Light to trace power when you get one here's what I want you to do first. Under the hood bellow the master cylinder. You will see the selector switch attached to the transmission it will also have the shift cable attached to it. You will see two big purple wires going to it. With the car in park and everything hooked up. Turn the key to the start position you should have power to both those purple wires. Let me know what you find.
