I'm having a hard time trying to figure out were I need to cut my old crossmember out of my truck for a new one because I'm putting in a automatic transmission but I have to cut out the old crossmember and put a new one in but I need to know where to cut the crossmember at to remove it.

Post a picture.

You should match up the new crossmember to where you want to mount it

The cross member should unbolt not have to be cut out. Besides you may just be able to put a different MOUNT for the automatic in first. You might check on powerblocktv. Com and look at one of the truck videos they did a few older restorations/customs and may lead you in the correct direction. It 's free and you can buy a video if you like that covers your vehicle or one that is similar.
