Is it practical or even doable to swap a 4t65e transmission for a 4t60e if the PCM and the harness from the donor car follow it to the recipient car. The engines are the same. 3800 series II. The donor is a 1998 Intrigue, and the recipient is a 1997 LSS?

I doubt it, but had to ask. Thankyou for offering me an opportunity to ask this question. From all that I have read on our website, I have confidence that you will help me with this question. FYI the body, and the engine in the LSS is in much better condition than the Intrigue, that is why an engine swap is being avoided.

I am using the free question option, but will be glad to donate after answer is given. Even if it is not what I want to hear.

Thankyou,

The problem would bethe harness. They may be different and not work. They both operate similar but switching the harness is a bad idea unless I t is exactly the same as things may not work. If your harness will hook up to th e t465 then that may be better, but no guarantee that it would work. I'd check with atrans guy prior to doing this. They would tell you one way or the other.
