1995 Toyota Tercel Front Wheel Drive Automatic
i have a 1995 toyota tercel. lately the check engine light is on the belt squeeks(but its tight) on occasion, the car tends to shake when you try to get over 55, and finally there is a kinda of popping sound coming from the right front of the hood(yes i checked and it is not the cv joint) and i have replaced the oil sparkplugs and the fuel filter but it still seems to do that i have heard there is a way to check the check engine light by sticking two pens into the diagnostic plug and it will cause the check engine light to flash the code of whats wrong with it so my question is how exactly do you do this test?
