Car will not start

I parked the vehicle with no problem except that it had very little petrol. Eight months later, it would not start even after I fill up the gas tank and charged the battery. I also kept the charger on the battery while I tried to start it but it still did not start. All the lights and other electrical items work fine.

Can you explain what might be the problem?

Hello,

It sounds like the fuel pump when out. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

How do I check fuel presure to rule out the fuel filter and fuel pump? Also, how do I look for spark?

You must use a fuel pressure gauge designed for your fuel system and hook it up on the fuel test port on the fuel rail rail. Looking spark disconnect a spark plug wire or 2 ground it to the engine and crank engine over-if its a DIS or COP ignition system use a jumper plug wire

This is an old post but we can take it from here. Do you hear the fuel pump run for 5 seconds in the tank when you turn the key on? Also did you have a check engine light on before the engine stopped running?
