2002 Toyota Prius transaxle
Transmission problem
2002 Toyota Prius 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 85000 miles
a Prius certified tech at Firestone changed oil. a week later, transmission blew. Is it related? Intakes on engine were clean. One extra quart of oil. When all lights came on, I was 2 blocks from Firestone. Mangager checked oil and discovered extra quart. They did it again. Next morning, went to Toyota and STILL extra quart of oil. Questions: Dealer wants 8k to fix. Should i try AAMco or Cottman transmission or should I sue Firestone? Thank you, Peggy
