Coolant temperature sensor

Hi there are three temp sensors on the main water fed pipe. The first is green replaced the second is black this is the gauge ok. The third is grey what does this do. As code reader says temp fault. This switch is 70.00 from toyota but I dont know what it does cheers antony

You got a coolant temperature gauge that is on the right front of engine. Here is a guide to help walk you through the steps of changing it with the location in the diagrams below.
