Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Toyota Prado 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic
I had a leak and had a new filter put on. After driving for about an hour out of the city my oil lights came on. I had completly run out of oil. Long story short, I buggered the engine.
I have since had a garage open it up and repair the damage. They used all genuine Toyota parts. I am expecting the vehicle back tomorrow but everyone says to sell it. They say that once the engine is openned up, it will never be the same.
How accurate is this please? I am concerned, especially as we have paid a lot to repair it and can no purchase a new truck. What is the truth behind engine repair?
