1991 Toyota Prado 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 170T miles
The LJ78 series engine on a toyota prado SX overheats when going on mountainous roads and losses power. It's frustrating because I have to stop and wait for the engine to cool before proceeding on my trip.The transmission(A?T) is a 30-43 LE made by AISIN AW CO LTD. Wll this trnsmission fit a 1KZ-TE engine for an upgrade? Any answer is welcome

Check and test the thermostat and also if there's a restriction on the exhaust system
