TACOMA SHIFT LINKAGE PROBLEM.
I just recently got a 3" body lift on my 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 ext cab 3.4 ltr engine 68,359 mls. My truck is a automatic trans and after we lifted it the shift linkage has been slightly off. I finally got it the best I can, but still when I put it into park and turn the key in the igniton to turn it off the key always stops halfway and I have to grab the shifter and push it slightly forward to where it finally clicks. When I push it that little extra the push button on top is not being pressed in. Then im finally able to turn the motor off. How do I fix this, also when I shift from park to reverse its sticks really hard and it is difficult to move it back. Is this bad for the lever, transmission, or anything else. Does shift linkage offsets wear on any other parts faster than it should?
