I have a 1985 toyota 4x4 5spd 22re with 131000 miles I just got the truck and when I replaced the spark plugs there was alot of oil deposites on them. Now the idle is really rough almost like the truck wants to die and the new plugs already have deposits on them and I have 2 give it a lil gas on a cold start and also some white/blue smoke comes out the ehaust not to much and only for a lil bit. I took it in and had a diagnosis they said the 2nd cyl was at 75 compression and the other 3 where fine. Do I have to replace a valve, head gasket piston ring on that cyl? Thank you for your time!!!

It really depends what's leaking, as for the no.2 is this a wet test or dry. The key here is every chamber is leaking. Could be valve seals. the way you describe the smoke.

I'm hinting on a Valve Job.

There is a oil leak. comming from the oil pan gasket. I believe dry test. The only chamber leaking is no.2 All are at 171 and no.2 is at 75. So I should check/replace the valves?[quote:3f7d15fd88="rasmataz"]It really depends what's leaking, as for the no.2 is this a wet test or dry. The key here is every chamber is leaking.
