1994 Toyota Pickup oil consumption

Just bought truck used. Very good with the 22r engine, but lost on the V6. Oil is being consumed about 1 quart every 300 miles. no major leaks, no apparent exhaust burn. Truck needed a new radiator- old one was leaking- and I just had to replace o-rings on injectors and 1 injector due to fuel leaking on engine. Since I am now stuck with this truck and dont want to put a new engine in it yet, what should I look at first?

A the rate of a quart every 300 miles, you must see either a puddle or a cloud...tell us which one, and we will go from there...

Yeah, but if a puddle isn't on the garage floor and no smoke out the back, chaulk it up to a $500 savings every month and drive it till it blows.
