Engine problem
1994 Toyota Pickup V6 Four Wheel Drive Manual 147000 miles

Just bought truck used. Very good with the 22r engine, but lost on the V6. Oil is being consumed about 1 quart every 300 miles. No major leaks, no apparent exhaust burn. Truck needed a new radiator- old one was leaking- and I just had to replace o-rings on injectors and 1 injector due to fuel leaking on engine. Since I am now stuck with this truck and dont want to put a new engine in it yet, what should I look at first?

A the rate of a quart every 300 miles, you must see either a puddle or a cloud. Tell us which one, and we will go from there.

Well if you change the oil every 3000 miles thats one every 1500 miles, way better than every 300 miles wouldnt you say?

Yeah, but if a puddle isn't on the garage floor and no smoke out the back, chaulk it up to a $500 savings every month and drive it till it blows.
