Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked the idle air control valve?

On the 1988 4 cylinder there is no place I can find to connect a pressure quage. Any ideas how connect to check the fuel pressure? Let me know, thanks!!

Regarding the idle air control valve, my book doesn't show it. Where is it located? Near the throttle position sensor?? Any guidance would be appreciated.

If there is no port, you need a T to place in the fuel line. As far as the IAC, here is a picture of it.
