Too much motor oil!

I put in too much motor oil the other day, and now I have blue smoke coming out of my exhaust. Do I have to drain the oil to fix it, or has something gone horribly wrong? At idle the car doesnt smoke 'alot'. But when I kickdown in 2nd it just pours out smoke

Drain it out and make sure its on the full level.
