Engine Mechanical problem
1984 Other Toyota Models Two Wheel Drive Manual

Hi. Last year my car overheated and the engine died. I sent it for overhaul. Since that, there are no major problems, only when my alternator damaged and I had it changed. But the wiring done were so poor. Now, my engine have a lot of problems. It stalls, surge and I have to rev it up to maintain and prevent it from dead whenever I am slowing down or stopping. If i turn on the A/C the prob worsens. The mechanic told me when he heard how the engine reacts while revving it that it sounds like one of my cylinders are not functioning very well. Maybe due to the poor wiring last time. Plus, currently there are trails of engine oil leaks through the exhaust. What is the real prob here? Is it the piston ring? Valve stem? Is it expensive as my overhaul last time? Do i need another top overhaul?
