1994 Toyota Landcruiser Stuck in Park
Transmission problem
1994 Toyota Landcruiser 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles
My LC is stuck in park. Following the instructions in the manual, we have been able to release park by removing the little cover next to the gear shift & driving a screwdriver down to manually release. Then it drives fine in all gears. Then freezes again when put into park.
I am a single female & before I take it in for repair, & possibly get sold on a complete transmission replacement that I don't need, I would just like to get an idea if there may be other less major causes for this problem which can be ruled out first.
This car has had a relatively easy life, very little off road use & is not driven daily at this time.
