1973 Toyota FJ-40 No brakes
Brakes problem
1973 Toyota FJ-40 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 66,000 miles
If I press on the pedal just once it will not stop, but, if I pump them about three times it will stop the cruiser and not bleed off. I have 4 wheel drum brakes. I have rebuilt all 8 of my wheel cylinders, replaced the booster and put a new mastercylinder on. None of these have fixed the problem. The only thing left that I can think of is the proportioning valve, could that be the cause?

Hi there, this sounds like an adjuster problem, go over all the adjusters , do up each until the brake locks up then back it off till the wheel frees up, start here.
