Water damage...

1986 toyota corolla 183000 mi. i just put new spark plugs and whires in about a month ago, with a oil change. it ran great. i live in hawaii and we just got slamed with a ton of rain like 16+ inches in 24 hrs. the day of the storm the car ran fine no problems. that night we got a lot of rain and when i went to go to school in the morning the gar would not start. the engine was turning but would not turn over...? i haven't been able to do much because it is still raining. what can i do?

could be something simple.. dont worry..
first get a paper towel and check for water on the engine, probably you have to dry the cables and take of the distribuitor cap and dry it carefully, also check for connectors exposed to the water sometimes a single drop of water in the maf sensor and the car wont start...
how its turning?
it tried to start or its just dead?
