I have a 99 corolla CE. This is automatic transmission with a 4 cylinder engine. I have two cracked front bushings. I've been calling around trying to get estimates on repair and i'm being told on average this would be $700 dollars. Can i just have the bushings replaced without replacing the entire control arm? Replacing the bushings would be cheaper as they run around $40 dollars. Is it true that the entire control arm has to be replaced?
