Hi guys, I am new to this, well my 00 celica has a speedo problem, when I drive my car in the morning my speedo is working just fine but as I continue to drive it for like 20mins or so the speedo drops to zero and stops working for a while. Sometimes the speedo will pick right back up and starts to act normal again. Whenever the speedo doesn't work my odometer stop working too, what can the problem be? It goes on and off, sometime even working for the whole day and sometime doesn't work at all for the whole day. Someboy please help out a lady in need! Thank you ^_^

Hi
well your speedometer and odometor are a team the odom don't know how many miles you drove because no sig from the speedo.

So both of these get a signal from the transmission from a sensor called a speed sensor.

This sensor has a electrical connection a lot of times it is just a matter of unplugging this plug and reconnecting
this works if it is a bad connection at the sensor. But usually the sensor is faulty. In which case the sensor has to be replaced.
