I would like to know if there is a standard price to repair a transmission in 1993 toyota camry le. I have taken my car to several different places including the dealer. I was told by one mechanic that it would cost $800.00 to replace the transmission. My car is currently at another shop and this mechanic has told me that to repair my transmission it will cost $1300 plus about $500 in "other fees" this does not seem right to me. So I'm hoping there is a set standard fee for repairs.
