1991 Toyota Camry V6
I recently had my timing belt changed. And now, my car won't accelerate right, after an instant stop, it takes a long time for me to accelerate up to 30mph. After that, it's normal. Then when I'm on the highway, sometime there's blacksmoke comming out of my muffler for about 5-7 secs and then it stops(the harder I press on my acceleration pedle, the more smokes comes out.) Can Someone please give me some sorta clue of what's going on?
Thank you!
Already check the timming, and it doesn't have nothing to do w/ it.

Maybe the valve and ignition timing is incorrec. Do you have an OBD CEL/MIL code/s?

OBD1 Toyota won't give a cam code p0340 nor misfire code if the belt is off a tooth or 2.I'll say vac gage test is easier n quicker. But then again. Popping frt cvr & line up TDC shouldn't take too much time neither.

Its not there before the changy-something went wrong during the installation -could be a loose sphagetti somewhere.

TDC at Compression or TDC @ exhaust-things happen

Interference or What? Kc

Don't tell me we're going into the mind of the brain, give 3mins and I'll plug into the Team Rasmataz.

Non interference motor on 3.0L
if the timing belt is off..its gonna give low vac @ idle & under load ....kinda like look at the map sensor on OBD2 car..if result is -ve then start the fuel trim & ignition stuff...etc.. 5 minutes ..in & out > NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
