I have a 96 toyota camry with 70k on it and a 2.2 engine. My car wont start when its humid outside. I live in seattle where humidity is 90% most of the time so this problem is year long problem. It usually takes the second start to start the car. And when it starts it tends to die or stay at very low rpm and shake untill I push some Gas. It start fine in dry weather. No one has been able to figure this out yet. I have just changed the spark plugs and wires, cleaned the injectors, fuel filter, engine coolant sensor but the problem is still there. I even put fuel dryer in the tank thinking there might some water in the tank, but it didnt help. Could it be due to MAP? If so how come car drives fine?

Thanks a lot.

You need to have it tested while the problem is happening to narrow down the source. Have you checked the codes in the computer?

That dirty dog! :X

I would recomend that a scanner capable of reading the data stream is used to evaluate what is going on when the problem is happening. A good tech can interpret what the sensors are doing or not doing. May be a multitude of reasons.

I have taken to different places and they have checked all sensors and they say every sensor is working properly.
