I have owned my 2001 Toyota Camry for 1 1/2 years,
it has 109,000 miles on it and runs great, but about a month ago every once in a while at stoplights when I go to accelerate the gas pedal sticks and I have to really stomp it to get it to move, then it runs fine. I have noticed it is worse on the colder mornings.
Is this something that will be hard/a major repair?

Hey bowers,
Sounds like the throttle plate my be full of carbon and sticking. Simple fix is to remove the air duct at the throttle body, open the throttle by hand and spray carb cleaner (a bunch) and with a small wire brush clean away all the carbon deposits on the bore and the throttle plate. You may have to spray several times to get it clean. Also, it may pop a misfire code when you start it up (will need to be cleared) as it will run rough for a bit and it will smoke a little too. Let us know!
