1994 Toyota Camry Break line replacement cost

Brakes problem

my break lines need to be replaced. My mechanic told me that they are really corroded. He quoted approx $1000.

there are also some other problems. My rear struts need work and my fuel filter is going to start leaking soon.

for all the work he quoted around $4000.

i'm just wondering if i'm getting ripped off. What would the cost be for the breaklines?

also, how important is it to fix the rear struts and the fuel filter?

Hi there,

I would be getting a second opinion on all this work, this I feel is far to much to be paying, if they are quoting $1000 for the brake lines, the rear struts would be around $260.00 plus about 3 hrs labour this would put a fuel filter and fitting at around $2,400.00 by the way a filter supplied & fitted is worth around $40.00 and less than 1 hour to fit, I think that you now get the picture. Go get a second opinion on all the work.
