I have been told that my oil pan drain plug is at it's max. Car has 232000 miles on it. A new oil pan is $500-$600. Is it possible to seal the existing plug and tap a new hole for a new plug? Any help would be appreciated.

So much of these quickie lube shops using an impact-If it was me "ll just use a teflon tape-plumber's tape. If it gets stubborn I'll clean it up around the plug and use PVC glue or JB weld on it and then from now on I'll do it myself. I've done this so many times/moons ago and its coming out of my ears. Then I'll take my 500 and get me all the 12 pack I can get.

Have a nice day-
