1993 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 182k miles

The engine has been stumbling intermittantly when starting off from a idleling stop, such as a red light or stop sign. I've gone as much as 5 days without it doing it. Also, 3 times now it has failed to start on several attempts after turning the car off for 5 or 10 minutes. In these instances the engine does not even fire at all. After a period of time it will start as if nothing was ever bothering. So far in an attempt to fix the problem I have changed the fuel filter, added injector cleaner and dry gas. Also, I have replaced the entire distributor and contents. I also sprayed contact cleaner in the fuse box in the engine compartment to no avail. Could the fuel pump be malfunctioning intermittantly like that and giving these trouble symtoms? I'm afraid that one of these days it just isn't going to start and I will be hung up someplace. Please help, i'm getting desperate!

If the engine will not crank, it's not the fuel pump, it's possibly in the ignition switch, or battery cables.

May I confused you with my comment about it not firing on attempting to start it periodically after it has set for 5 or 10 minutes. The engine would crank over fine in those instances, it just wouldn't start or give any indication that it wanted to start. Thanks for your help!
OK check pump pressure and spark, and maybe compression, tho if it's intermittent problem I doubt that, Let us know whats missing. Check the crank sensor connection, if it's loose you can get this problem.
