1987 Toyota Camry

How do I replace the back up light switch? When I put it in reverse the lights don't come on. The bulbs are fine.

Hello – sonnys sorry you are having problems with your vehicle.

I have provided the location of the switch for both manual and automatic. There are not specific instructions therefore it once you see where it is at, it is as simple as disconnecting the connector, removing a bolt then removing and replacing the component.

Also, please make sure so that we provide the correct information you provide all of the data for your vehicle, if it is a sedan or wagon, specific engine size by liter and the 8th digit of your VIN. If it is automatic or manual and how many miles are on it.

Thanks

Automatic

The backup light switch is incorporated into the Neutral Start Switch, which is attached to the transaxle.
