What is the fine white subctance coming out of A/C vents when I turn air condision on? A/C filter was replaced week ago.
It is Toyota Avalon XLS 2006 with 14000 miles on it.

Is this just like fog or more like fine powder?

If it is fog, it will be moisture on the evaporator, when the A/C is turned on the rapid temperature drop will cause this moisture gas off as fog and is blown out the vents by the fan, it normally only lasts a few seconds, also this can be sign that the T.X valve is faulty and the system is to cold, moisture is freezing and gassing off, it might pay to check the drain tubes and the core temperature of the A/C for any fault with the T.X. valve.
