Engine Performance problem
1987 Toyota 4Runner 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
When I go to start my truck it takes a few minutes for it to crank .. The engine turns over fine .. I checked the plugs and there firing , I just put a new fuel pump in and filter , plugs and plug wires , someone suggested that it might be the coolant temperature sensor , so I replaced that too and it would crank up fine for about a week. Now It's doing the same thing , I checked the codes and the only thing that comes up is a code 11 which means,

" switch signal -neutral start which on 22re or idl point in throttle position sensor is off during diagnostic check " .

I would like to know is would that code make it not run ? It starts fine and when it does crank it runs good , It just has a hard time starting

The one thing I would check first would be the coolant temp. sensor . Sense you just put it on It probably works good ,but check the connections .
