Timing

1996 f150 with V8 302 and 4wd with intermittent start/run issues....just had new distributor put in and they didn't tighten clamp down and it advanced to 15* and was pinging. Took it back and they adjusted back to 10*BTDC and now it's sluggish...didn't appear that they removed the SPOUT connector while setting the timing...could this affect the power?

absolutely. it is the only way to properly adjust the timing
