The mulfunction indicator lamp turned on

I have a 2.0 diesel and the MIL turned on today. The maunual states it has something to do with the fuel filter. How save is it to drive it? Can I go a few day until I get a workshop appointment (my only car)

There was a re call on these, ring the local dealer and see if your car is affected, I would check this asap as it has the potential to let you down on the side of the road.
