I'm trying to change the neutral safety switch in my son's 98 2.5L dodge stratus. I removed the bolts around the pan and the valve body. It comes down a few inches, but I can't figure out how to make it come off completely. I bought the repair manual for the 1995-2000 stratus, but it is not the correct instructions for this vehicle because the neutral safety switch is called the Transmission Speed Sensor and it's located underneath the valve body. Thanks for any help!

There's two speed sensors, an input speed sensor and an output speed sensor. Both are bolted to the front of the transmission on the outside of the case.

You have to remove the shifter cable lever. There's also a park rod that must be removed from a guide bracket, then you can pull the valve body down.
