My tail lights and dash lights are both out. The brake lights still work and the bulb has 2 elements. I checked fuses and didn't check every one but all of the ones that had something in their description that looked related to the tail lights. My headlights still work and I tried to check out the headlight switch but it is only accessible from behind the dash and I cant get to it because of all of the other wiring and stuff back there. Any hints on other things to check or how to check it?

Start by using a test light to see if your getting power to the taillight sockets. Use the test light to check voltage to the dash ilumination fuse. Turn on the headlight on before testing. If it needs to have the headlight switch removed for testing I can help with that also.

So I get a little power to the running lights witht he headlight on but nowhere near the power as when the brake lights turn on and off. I can give you numbers but I think the numbers that I am reading for the taillights strong enough to show on a test light
